Magic Cup Gives Thanks: What We’re Grateful for in 2020
There’s no denying that 2020 was an incredibly tough year. And for a business like ours––which serves the community and depends on people visiting our cafes––the challenges were pretty immense. Lockdown restrictions, increased safety measures, and other setbacks all made this our most challenging year yet.
But not only did we survive, we thrived. And that’s all thanks to some very special people.
This year, more than ever, we’re overwhelmingly grateful for the continued support of all the Magic Cup Cafe family members and friends who stepped up and leaned a hand during this demanding time. As we approach Thanksgiving, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to you all and explain exactly why we’re so thankful to have you in our corner. Words couldn’t possibly do justice to the loyalty, hard work, and dedication our community has shown us in 2020… but we thought we’d at least give it a try.

Here’s just a small list of the things we’re giving thanks for this holiday:
Our outstanding employees
“Above and beyond” barely covers it. You all stood firm and gave 100% of yourselves despite new regulations and new technology that made things more confusing and complex on a daily basis. You made the shift from in-house dining to online orders without missing a beat. You wore masks to keep everyone safe and protected and helped enforce crowd control inside our stores. And you did it all with a smile (yes, we could see it under your mask). We couldn’t have gotten through 2020 without you.

Our loyal customers
Thank you. With all the insanity in the world, it would have been so easy for you to forget about your local cafe. But you never left us. Instead, you actually checked up on us and trusted us to keep creating the food and beverages you love. You ordered via our website, followed our latest safety updates on social media, and brought home gallons of our tea to show your support. You never complained about the changes we had to make (closed lids, requests to wear a mask, dining out instead of in, etc.), and you helped us keep our doors open. We’re beyond thankful that you were there for us. We promise to be there for you, too.
Our franchisees and everyone who reached out
It takes courage and vision to believe in a business when times are at their worst. Each of our franchisees (and all those who inquired about our franchise program in 2020) demonstrated so much bravery by continuing to put their time and effort into the Magic Cup Cafe brand, even after the pandemic hit. Thank you for staying committed despite so many bumps in the road. Good things are coming in 2021. We can feel it.
That’s all from us for now (we told you we could barely put our thanks into words!).
Thank you to each and every one of you. We look forward to seeing what we can do together in the coming year.
Stay safe and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
